SummaryThe Hardware Engineering Team is looking for an engineer to support the ECAD team, develop and present training material and contribute to the methodologies, vendor tools, workflows and custom applications used to create electrical designs and bring them to fabrication. The successful candidate will work with the multi-functional hardware engineering staff on a day-to-day basis to resolve design issues and provide guidance with regards to engineering best practices. They will contribute on a wide range of initiatives and projects to bring to light an improved engineering environment and more educated engineering staff.Support hardware engineering staff through schematic design, printed circuit board (PCB), component and simulation workflowsIdentify, triage and debug hardware design, component and simulation issuesDevelop and deliver training on best practices with regards to schematic design , PCB design, component, simulation tools and workflowsKey QualificationsGood knowledge of LinuxKnowledge of Atlassian tools such as Compass and ConfluenceExperience developing and conducting trainingsAbility to identify, triage and debug technical design issues, arriving at root causeUnderstanding of the HW design process from library creation to schematic, PCB design and signal analysis flow.Experience of version control tools such as Perforce or GITKnowledge of Excel, Word and PowerpointExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with an ability to work with different constituencies operating at various skill levelsThrives in a dynamic work environment, both independently and as a part of a teamShown ability to work independently while using sound technical and business judgement.Dynamic with a "can do" attitude. Humble and act with grace under fire.Desirable QualificationsKnowledge of Cadence SysCap ,Design Entry HDL and AllegroKnowledge of SQLExperience with corporate Learning Management System such as iSpring Learn, Docebo, 360Learning, etc.Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PERL, etc.Knowledge of Numbers, Pages and KeynoteKnowledge of SlurmKnowledge of ChineseEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalentAt least 3 years working with ECAD design tools and workflowsAt least 3 years developing and delivering trainingProficiency with Linux and shell scriptingExperience with scripting languages, such as Python, Perl or TCLExperience with knowledge management software, such as ConfluencePay Range: $65-90hrThe specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
