Job Description

We are seeking a driven, creative candidate to join Loper as User Growth Lead and optimize user acquisition for our mobile app. You will collaborate directly with Loper's founding team as the first non-technical hire and will shape the company's strategy for widespread mobile adoption. Your focus will be on building sustainable organic and paid acquisition channels, although part of your job will involve direct input on product decisions to promote virality and user retention. This full-time role is right for someone with the talent, passion, and empathy to grow from 0 to 1 with a founding team.We have a strong preference for candidates willing to relocate to Chicago within 3 months of starting.ResponsibilitiesDetermine Loper's internal user growth KPIs in collaboration with co-founders and ensure continuous MoM user growthOwn Loper's organic social media presence and paid advertising on these channelsManage marketing content on Loper's website, including product previews that can drive app downloadsDevelop scalable localized acquisition strategies to support Loper's sales effortsBuild Loper's student network to coordinate growth initiativesOversee company-led and affiliate scholarshipsBuild and execute advocacy in Loper's educator, parent and student communities via newsletters, demos, presentations, and other community-building tacticsInform product features that accelerate Loper's adoption and promote increased on-app engagementSupport with user interviews, content acquisition, and engaging stakeholders beyond HS users like parents, counselors, adult learners, and current college studentsUse a growth stack including Braze, Hubspot, an MMP, social apps, social ads dashboards, Canva, and Loom to accomplish your roleNote: As a part of this role, you may be expected to travel intermittently for events and conferences supporting Loper's user growth.Role Requirements2+ years working experience in a strategic marketing role (ideally for a pre-Series A andor free consumer mobile app)Working experience managing a full end-to-end marketing funnelStrong foundation in analytics, data reporting, and results-oriented decision makingExperience managing a business or personal brand's social media accountExperience with social media paid ads dashboardsActive, attentive, and curious social media userStrong written and verbal communication skills for external outreachPassion for educational access and Loper's company missionEnthusiasm to become a product expertDesire to operate in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to adapt to shifting role requirements and business prioritiesGrowth mindset and desire for self-improvementExperience creating structure and process to independently manage your own workExcited to grow with Loper from a 5-person team to a category-defining brandPreferred Experience2+ years experience marketing to Gen Z or a teenage populationExperience managing traditional SEO, programmatic SEO, and ASO (app store optimization)Experience writing and growing a newsletterContent marketing experience on web and emailExperience building network effects to grow a marketplaceComfortable using AI-powered productivity tools with your day-to-day workExperience managing referral, loyalty, or ambassador programs
