If you're looking to gain experience in advertising and work in a fast and fun culture, apply now!As of 2023, JCDecaux North America has been certified as a Great Place to Work.For more JCDecaux US information, visit Role:JCDecaux is currently seeking a Design Engineer, who will report to the VP of Engineering and will be responsible for creating CAD assemblies, drawings for CAD models and overseeing the revision process.This is a full-time position based in our Maspeth, New York office and will operate in a hybrid work model.Key Responsibilities:Create CAD assemblies, modeling sheet metal parts, extrusions, and machined parts (CreoProE).Create drawings and check drawings for these CAD models.Team member on projects from conception through completion including hands-on of prototype component assembly and testing when required. Capable of creating documentation for product Inspections, Inspection processes and Audit inspections.Perform drawing changes for parts and assemblies based upon manufacturing and assembly feedback.Create reports and spreadsheets for ongoing projects, product upgrades and new projects.Create documents for Request for Proposals (RFP's) including Drawings and technical support documents.Balance and judgement required when evaluating issues based on safety exposure, costs, timeline, and overall quality.Understands and oversees the revision process and creating BOM's for drawings.Capable of performing Quality inspections and make recommendations for improvements if needed.Practical application of Mechanical and Electrical codes within the design and improvement processes.Hands-on and can assist with a variety of projects and issues from Operations team. Assist Operations with electrical wiring, assembly, and fabrication i.e., cutting, drilling. Etc. when required.Qualifications & Requirements:8-10 years of experience required, managing engineering team a plus. Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Work experience in mechanical engineering and documentation control, electrical or structural engineering a plus.Thorough understanding of mechanical fabrication, assembly and testing, electrical systems and reading schematics a plus.Capable of handling Quality inspections, documentation control, and follow-up processes procedures.Works diligently to meet upper management expectations, reduce timelines, and has attention to details.Works independently managing multiple projects, also works with others to meet goals in timely fashion.Proficient with CreoProE and Windchill.SolidWorks experience is a plus.Proficient in MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) & Adobe Products (Illustrator, Photoshop)Benefits:At JCDecaux, we value our employees as whole individuals and offer various benefits to support them.
