Competitive relocation packages available + $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS!!Title: Senior Analog Electrical EngineerLocation: Danbury, CTSummary:The Electrical Engineering Department is seeking experienced Analog Electrical Design Engineers at the Principal and Staff level to provide analog electrical design solutions and technical support to novel and challenging projects of varying size throughout their life cycle stages. You will be joining an organization with a distinguished space-based EOIR heritage of scientific and national security. You will contribute to the development of complex high reliability electrical designs in support of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions on a variety of platforms. These platforms present unique design challenges operating over the harsh environments of space including extreme EMI environments, total dose induced radiation parametric degradation effects, single event effects associated with high energy space born particles, space charging of surfaces and electro-static discharge events.Responsibilities:You will provide high reliability designs and lead electrical engineering support for critical flight mission applications as well as ground validation and test activity. It is expected that you are a self-directed individual who requires minimal oversight. You will be accountable for high reliability designs to be used in critical space and military applications where failure is not an option. You will be called upon to communicate with external parties such as customers and vendors as well as participate in non-advocate reviews.It is expected that you will fully engage and immerse yourself with our products. Strategic vision is key to this position and the selected candidate should have the requisite background and expertise to quickly absorb information and make significant contributions to our products as well as provide ideas and concepts to advance our business and capabilities. Advanced experience with electro-optical products is highly desirable as well as an ability to quickly engage and develop an advanced technical understanding of unique electro-optical instruments.Qualified candidates should demonstrate strong analog design skills as related to both the support of legacy products and development of new designs. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of advanced troubleshooting ability at the system level as well as lower levels of integration.Additional Responsibilities:Review and evaluation of customer requirement documentsDemonstrated ability to follow a methodical and structured approach to design and validationOriginal electrical design, electro-optical instrument designComplex analog design including simulation, systemcomponent modeling, signal integrity analysis, component & system level powerstress analysis, servo performance and stability analysisWorst case circuit performancefunctional analysis over mission life & environment extremesAnalog design of deliverable ship set hardware and internal Special Test EquipmentValidation testing supportWork with program teams to develop design concepts, define and perform tradesPrepare and present material for formal design reviews and customer meetingsProvide technical support to proposal activitiesQualifications:8-10+ years of experience as an analog electrical engineer on space programsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, MS preferredDemonstrated lead electrical design capability & experienceConceptual original design experienceExperience writingderiving requirements and generating verification plansExperience writing technical reports and generating technical presentationsExperience in high reliability space, DoD airborne & ground systems, mission analysis, and government military program contracts preferredFocal plane experience and familiarity with quad cells, CCDs, photodiodes, lasers, etc. desiredPower electronics and motor drive designanalysis experience is a plusFamiliarity using DOORS requirements management tool and following a rigorous requirements documentation and validation process desiredApplied use of standard electrical engineering analysis and documentation software (i.e. PSPICE, Hyperlynx, Matlab, Mathcad, Orcad, Allegro, and Visio) preferredAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearanceThe position is located onsite at Danbury Mission Technologies' facility in Danbury, CT.
