Shrub Oak International School is the new benchmark in autism education. We are a private day and boarding school in northern Westchester County, serving the needs of an international coed population of children, adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum. Offering two distinct educational programs, with both day and boarding options, Shrub Oak truly is a school like no other.Reporting to the Director of Health and Wellness, the LPN is a year round position, serving as an integral part of Shrub Oak's comprehensive health and wellness program. They employan evidence-based, student-centric approach to providing high-quality, proactive direct and indirect nursing, medical and overall proactive wellness care to our students. The LPN provides front-line support for the daily operations of the health and wellness program (both on and off campus),guidesand mentorsstudents, assistswith emergency response procedures, and collaborateswith all members of the Shrub Oak staff. The LPN builds trusting relationships with students, families, the community and other medical service providers, while representing Shrub Oak International School in a respectful, competent manner. Asummary of the role and its requirements follows:Education and Experience Graduated from a licensed practical nursing program; licensed as NYS LPN in good standingA minimum of three (3) years' experience as an LPN; experience in pediatrics preferred Demonstrated ability to work within the scope of practice for as an LPN , when supervisor is not physically present on-site Experience working with adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities is preferred Drivers License preferredPay: $45hour + Competitive BenefitsShift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 3pm - 11pmEEO Statement Shrub Oak International School is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
