Job Description

Medix is looking to hire an Assistant Program Director to join a residential facility with a non-profit organization in Los Angeles, CA 90023. This candidate will assist the Program Director in supervision of staff as assigned and have oversight of clinical operations.Responsibilities:Serves as head of service in absence of the Program Director.Liaison between administrative, clinicalprogram staff and other agencies.Supervises assigned staff, including provision of clinical supervision hours for staffinterns who are BBS registered.Assists Program Director in clinical program development.Recruits and interviews applicants for clinical positionsPlans and implements clinical training for staff.Assists in clinical training and supervising new therapists and case aides.Maintains detailed knowledge of, and monitors compliance with, DMH and organization's documentation requirements and service delivery benchmarks.Participates in educational seminars for the department.Assists with the development, maintenance and evaluation of policies and procedures.Writes reports and presentations as required.Attends interintra-agency meetings for networking and information sharingKeeps program personnel informed of professional and community trends, issues, concerns and requests.Participates in staff and treatment team meetings and contributes pertinent information.Assist other programs as necessary.Works independently.Provides on call coverage for emergency consultation and intervention outside ofregular work hoursAssists in crisis situations as needed and helps to facilitate client transfers tohigher levels of care, when neededindicated.Develops, implements and monitors integrity of group schedules.May complete client assessments for placement. (e.g. MDs, hospitals, etc)Hires, trains, evaluates, and develops corrective action plans for staff in collaboration with the Program Director and Chief Human Resources Officer.Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements ExperienceMaster's Degree from an accredited school of social work or psychology.LCSW, LMFT or licensed Psychologist- Must be eligible to complete appropriate clinical supervision training in order to supervise registered MFT or MSW interns or other disciplines as designated. Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00- 5:00 pm
