JOB TITLE: Structural Engineer POSITION: Full Time Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid) Position Responsibilities:Perform detailed analysis and design of structural systems using engineering software and manual calculationsDevelop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of projectsCollaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of projectsConduct site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions and determine necessary repairs or improvementsPrepare technical reports and presentations to communicate engineering solutions to clientsStay up-to-date with industry codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance in all projectsMentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and support staff RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (P.E.) licenseMinimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineeringStrong experience with residential and commercial structural engineering analysis, design, and inspection of existing structuresFascination and strong interest in building construction techniques and evaluation of existing buildingsProficient in the use of structural analysis and design softwareStrong knowledge of building codes and regulationsDetail orientedExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsEffective communication and collaboration abilitiesAttention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAble to lift at least 50 poundsAbility to go on roofs, climb ladders, go in crawl spaces, and go in atticsMust enjoy and be proficient at writing and preparing quality reportsAbility to talk directly with customersA fascination with buildings, construction costs, and building systemsDesire to want to work with a high performance, highly technical team
