SuperintendentHighland Consulting Group is a nationwide recruiting firm that focuses on placing top construction talent with the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors.We are working with a General Contractor Construction Management firm to recruit an experienced Superintendent in the Columbus, OH area. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Lead Superintendent working on large complicated projects such as healthcare, data centers or schools with complex MEP systems. This is a permanent position and generally all of the projects are in the Columbus area. Little or no travel is required.Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Work with the Safety Manager to create a safe work siteCoordinate everyday task involved in the construction processSchedule crews and subcontractorsArrange for material and equipment to be on site as neededWork with the foremen to coordinate the daily production planOversee quality controlDaily reporting of all work completedProvide technical expertise and coaching to resolve and production issues and verifying the execution of corrective actionsWork to keep the project on schedule, meet the specifications, keep the project safe, and meet the expectations of the Project ManagerInterface with the owner on all projects assignedRequirements:Solid communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to motivate people to be productive and efficient every dayAbility to multi-taskA self-motivated individual that excels in problem solvingSolid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and superintendent success a mustExperience: 5 years experience as a Lead Superintendent on projects larger than $50 MillionExperience working with large medical healthcare schools laboratory facilities and MEP experience is strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management recommended but will consider candidates with sufficient related experienceBenefitsThis company cares about and is committed to the well being of its employees and their families.
