Introduction:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux System Engineer to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Linux systems, DevOps methodologies, containerization technologies, and virtualization platforms. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that supports our innovative and dynamic technology environment.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage CICD pipelines to automate and streamline our operations and processes.Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across various platforms including virtual environments and cloud infrastructures.Work with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms to manage containerized applications.Set up and configure Linux Virtual Machines using virtualization platforms such as Nutanix, VMWare, or OpenStack.Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability and availability of IT services.Collaborate with development teams to understand needs and provide technical support and guidance.Participate in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure projects.Conduct system backups and disaster recovery operations.Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.Stay updated with new trends and best practices in system engineering.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience as a Linux System Engineer or similar role.Proficient with DevOps tools and methodologies and experience setting up and managing CICD pipelines.Extensive experience with Kubernetes or similar containerization technologies.Deep understanding of networking protocols and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).Proven experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Linux Virtual Machines on platforms such as Nutanix, VMWare, or OpenStack.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CKADCKA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred.
