This role involves designing and implementing cloud-based solutions tailored to the unique needs of our pharmaceutical clients.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage AWS-based data solutions specifically for commercial pharma data sets.Lead migrating on-premise data to AWS cloud, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA).Develop data models and engineering functions on AWS, optimized for pharma use cases.Provide technical expertise and guidance in pharmaceutical data analytics and cloud computing.Collaborate with clients to understand and deliver on specific requirements of the pharma industry.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Consult and implement large-scale data solutions on AWS, integrating services like Spark, EMR, RedShift, and Kinesis with third-party technologies.Re-architect and migrate on-premises data stores to AWS cloud, utilizing modern data platforms and AWS services.Design and manage end-to-end data pipelines and optimize data models on AWS using languages like Java, Python, Scala, and AWS data stores.Lead customer consultations for AWS transitions, participate in design workshops, and mentor engineers in best coding practices.Qualifications10-15 years of industry experience, preferably in cloud architecture within the pharmaceutical sector.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Knowledge of Big Data architectures on both cloud and on-premise environments.Proficiency in AWS services, including Kinesis, Kafka, S3, EC2, Lambda, and AWS data stores like Redshift and DynamoDB.Proven experience in Java, Scala, Python, shell scripting, and SQL.AWS Certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Data Analytics.Experience with Agile methodology and migrating workloads to cloud environments.Strong project management skills and experience as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.Pay:The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $160k - $210k. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.Benefits:As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.
