Position OverviewReports To Unit DBE Compliance Officer, DBE Compliance Manager or Project Manager, asdeterminedGeneral Position SummaryThe role of Project DBE Compliance Coordinator (PDCC) is established to coordinate all DBEcompliance activities for a Skanska USA Civil subsidiary project, subsequent to a notice toproceed. The PDCC reports on project-specific DBE utilization to the UDCO, DBE ComplianceManager and the Project Manager. The PDCC is responsible for project-level DBE compliancewith all relevant contract requirements. Accountability for project compliance, subsequent to anotice to proceed, lies with the Project ManagePosition DetailsMajor Duties & Responsibilities:To perform monthly audits in order to confirm the certification of each DBE and to confirm that each DBE is performing a Commercially Useful Function on every phase of its subcontract and report any issues of non-compliance to the UDCO and UDCM (as assigned)To ensure that the work performed by each DBE is relevant to what is listed on the DBE's current certification.To update the project's DBE participation plan as necessary and submit the amended plan to the UDCO and Project Manager for approval.To be aware of change order activity and modifications to DBE subcontracts and account for such changes on the applicable participation plans and progress reports.To verify that each DBE uses its own equipment, and to verify that the appropriate use of Skanska equipment andor operators is properly accounted for.To verify that each DBE's workforce is employed by the DBE and properly accounted for on its payroll.To prepare the required periodic progress reports for the approval of the UDCO and the Project Manager The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position. May be assigned to a project or corporate office Project DBE Compliance Coordinator.Education And ExperienceA two-year college degree in accountingbusiness, contracting, or construction management is desired or equivalent experience in these fields.Work EnvironmentJob ConditionsThis job is performed both in the office and in the field. Experience and confidence working in and around heavy industrial equipment, systems and conditions is required. Activities and responsibilities require frequent sitting (often working on a computer), frequent driving, flying, walking, standing, light lifting, bending, and reaching.
