Glick Haupt Marino LLP, a well-established law firm located in downtown San Luis Obispo, seeks an experienced Paralegal for its civil litigation, real estate, and business transaction practice. This is a 40 hour per week, permanent position with excellent benefits and competitive salary commensurate with experience. If you possess the skills and passion to excel in this role, we invite you to apply and become part of our firm.*No Recruiters*REQUIREMENTS:Paralegal certification or equivalentMinimum of 3+ years' experience as paralegal in California litigation practice; experience in transactional work helpfulKnowledge of all phases of litigationCommand of Code of Civil Procedure and SLO Superior Court local rulesStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsResponsible and accountable, and able to work collaboratively in a team environmentOrganized and detail-orientedSelf-motivated and ability to prioritize and organize workWorks well under pressure and deadlinesAttentive proofreader for grammar, spelling and punctuationAbility to maintain the highest level of confidentialityProfessional and courteous to clients and staffDemonstrate good ethics and judgementMust be a notary public or willing to become a notary public at firm's expenseFamiliar with Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw, timekeeping and document management softwareRESPONSIBILITIES:Manage active litigation calendarCorrespond with clients, attorneys, and court staffDraft and respond to discoveryAssist in preparation of pleadings and motions for filing with courtDocument review with clients and attorneyLegal and factual researchDraft correspondenceMaintain corporate minute books and prepare annual filingsAssist with corporate formation, business and real property agreements, and recording and processing filings with administrative and regulatory agenciesMaintain client trademarks filingsQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Legal research and investigation skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsTime management and organization skillsCritical thinking skillsEducation: Must have college degree andor Paralegal Certificate Pay: Competitive, based on experience Benefits:Paid Time OffPaid HolidaysMedical, dental, vision401K with employer matchingWork Location:In-personSchedule:8 Hour Shift Monday to Friday
