SARA is looking for a remarkably talented, motivated, and experienced Program Scheduler to support activities out of our Colorado Springs location. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow and learn with talented engineers, physicists, and technicians on long-standing programs and new programs supporting our customers. The Program Scheduler will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing and defense projects by developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project scheduling within a defense or manufacturing environment and be proficient in the principles of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). This role requires a highly organized individual who can effectively work with project teams to ensure timely project completion in accordance with contractual obligations. Core Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in accordance with industry best practices and company proceduresImplement milestone setups for EVMS jobs, ensuring accurate tracking of project progress against planned objectivesWork closely with project managers and other stakeholders to identify project milestones, deliverables, and critical pathsProvide regular updates and reports to project teams and senior management on project status, including potential risks and delaysAnalyze project performance data to recommend corrective actions and ensure project objectives are metAssist in the development and implementation of scheduling standards and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of project executionParticipate in project planning and review meetings to provide scheduling insights and expertiseFacilitate communication between project teams, suppliers, and customers regarding schedule adjustments and updates as needed Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related fieldRelated program scheduling experience may be considered in lieu of required educationMinimum of 5 years of experience in program scheduling within the manufacturing or defense sectorsStrong understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and its application in project schedulingProficiency in project management software such as Microsoft ProjectClear understanding of and ability to implement the DCMA 14-point Schedule AssessmentExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple prioritiesFamiliarity with defense or manufacturing industry standards and regulatory requirements (FAR, DFAR, DCMA, etc.)Expertise in the management of different contract types (FFP, T&M, etc.)Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of costschedule management, earned value management, forecasting, and risk assessmentAbility to obtain and maintain DoD security clearanceUS Citizenship requiredMay require light physical effort, involving standing, sitting and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 15 poundsWorking environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated Preferred Qualifications:Active DoD Top Secret ClearanceExperience with Deltek CostpointExperience with Deltek CobraExperience with UnanetCertification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or equivalent is a plusExperience in Agile project management methodologiesStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements SARA offers a competitive benefits package to include:Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance; and other supplemental programsA generous PTO program (vacation, sick, holiday)Tuition & certification reimbursementFlexible work schedulesEmployee bonuses401(k) matchprofit sharingEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 Application Deadline: May 1, 2024 U.S. citizenship is required for most positions.
