POSITION SUMMARYThe Inventory Specialist position is an excellent opportunity for someone having experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and ERP systems. This position is part of the Order Fulfillment Team and is responsible for feedstock receipts and tracking TPC Inventory at both the plant site and outside terminals. This includes Rail, Truck, Pipeline, Marine, and Tank Inventory. The Inventory Specialists work closely with the Production Planning, Logistics, and Commercial groups. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsures all receipt and inventory transactions are accurately and timely entered and updated in Oracle and associated systems.Tracks TPC Inventory and its movements in and out of the plant to support an Oracle Daily and Monthly Material Balance.Provides coordination and transactional support for assigned suppliers by acting as primaryinitial contact for feedstock receipts.Builds and maintains business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service.Support the Production Planning, Logistics, and Commercial groups by maintaining an up to date summary of all Tank, Railcar, Truck, Pipeline, and Marine Inventory at the plant and outside terminals.Troubleshoots supplier concerns and field technical questions. Receives concerns and questions and resolves them directly or coordinates resolution with other team members or departments. Ensures that the proper procedures for receiving, shipping documentation, and quality data capture are followed to assure efficient invoice processing.Follow-up on any delays in receipts and keeps the status up to date in Oracle and scheduling applications. Utilizes Oracle queries and reports to analyze relevant data to measure improvements in Supply Chain processes, speed, and accuracy of material balance, and coordinates with manufacturing to resolve discrepancies between calculated and metered production. Serves as back-up for other Inventory Specialists.Identifies opportunities and supports implementation of standard processes and procedures fully utilizing Oracle and associated systems to receive feedstock and finished goods and assures daily balance resolution. Champions change focused on supply chain improvement objectives.Role critical for month end financial close and may require periodic availability off hours.Available periodically on weekendsholidays to update preloaded railcars for Customer Service (~1-hour task)MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS3-5 years of experience in science or business, or an equivalent level of experience in a closely related technical field.Experience in an ERP system, Oracle experience preferredDisplays Initiative and self-motivation.Performs effectively in a multi-task and detail-oriented work environment.Develops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.Analyzes situations or data that require a review of a variety of factors.Builds productive internalexternal working creases knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.Possesses superior writtenverbal communication skills with internalexternal audiences and multiple organizational levels.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION CRITERIADemonstrate strong expertise with ERP systems, esp. OracleChemical Petrochemical Refining industry experience preferred
