We are currently assisting our client, a global Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer, with a Materials Manager search located near Tuscaloosa, AL. The Materials Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing manufacturing materials operations and strategy to ensure the achievement of plant goals. This position will be responsible for demand planning, inventory management, and logistics operations in a Just-In-Time environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with sales inventory operations planning, inventory and supply chain management.Responsibilities: Manage aspects of supply chain management to include: production planning, master scheduling, inventory management, warehousing, and logisticsEnsure on-time deliveries in a Just-In-Time environment to meet customer requirements Forecast material needs while maximizing the utilization of the current inventoryDetermine the best course of action to improve distribution efficiencyRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering5+ years of industrial materials management Experience working in a JITJIS manufacturing environmentMust have proven operations management or supervisory experienceAdditional Information:All information will be kept strictly confidentialApplications will not be considered without a ResumeCurriculum Vitae which includes contact information
