UAT Tester Hartford, CT 6-month contract with possible extension andor conversionSummary:We are seeking a highly skilled UAT Tester specialized in Health Insurance to join our dynamic team. As a UAT Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our health insurance software applications through meticulous testing procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate the functionality, usability, and accuracy of our health insurance systems, ensuring they meet the requirements and expectations of stakeholders.Responsibilities:comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications related to health insurance applications.UAT test cases to validate the end-to-end functionality of health insurance software, including enrollment, claims processing, billing, eligibility verification, and reporting.closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand project objectives, requirements, and timelines.document, and prioritize defects, issues, and enhancements discovered during UAT testing, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with relevant stakeholders.regression testing to ensure the stability and integrity of health insurance applications after changes or updates.regular status updates on testing progress, including test coverage, defects found, and overall quality requirement review sessions, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies to contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development process.to the creation and maintenance of UAT testing standards, best practices, and documentation specific to health insurance formed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in health insurance to enhance testing strategies and methodologies.junior testers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality and innovation within the organization.Requirements:degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or related field.experience (X years) in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within the health insurance domain, preferably in a software development or healthcare environment.understanding of health insurance concepts, including enrollment, claims processing, provider networks, member eligibility, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts using testing tools such as HP ALM, Jira, or similar platforms.knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with experience working in Agile development teams.analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and communicate defects and risks munication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.approach with a focus on delivering high-quality results within tight software testing (e.g., ISTQB) andor health insurance (e.g., AHIP) is a plus.to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.our team and contribute to the advancement of innovative health insurance solutions that improve the lives of millions of individuals and families.
