Job Summary:Dexian is seeking a Remote Kafka Engineer w Confluent exp. for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities:Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka Brokers and understanding of underlying functionalityHands-on experience with Confluent Schema Registry and understanding of underlying functionalityHands-on experience with Confluent Kafka streams and KSQL DB and understanding of underlying implementation and functionalityHands-on experience with Confluent Kafka connectors and understanding of underlying implementation and functionalityGood understanding of Kafka client (Producer and consumer) functionalityAbility to design and implement technical solutions for the Kafka On-prem and Confluent Cloud platformUnderstanding of AWS cloud to support confluent Kafka on cloudDeep knowledge of Kafka best practices and implementation experienceResponsible for assisting producer and consumer applications to on board on to Kafka Requirements:Recent experience configuring Confluent Kafka for log capture and redirection and managing high volume logsRecent experience with Confluent in KafkaRecent experience with Log capture in SIEM environment (Elastic or ArcSight etc.)Minimum 5+ Years of hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka AdminExperience with Upgrademaintenance of Confluent Kafka platform from current version to latest releaseExperience collaborating amongst development teams, product Managers, operations teams, and architect groupsDesired Skills and ExperienceKafka Engineer Needed.1 Year contract to start, expected to be multi-year (40 hours per week from start).Fully Remote.Looking at mid-senior level candidates.Must be US Citizen who can obtain security clearance.Experience Needed:* Recent experience configuring Confluent Kafka for log capture and redirection and managing high volume logs.* Recent experience with Confluent in Kafka.* Recent experience with Log capture in SIEM enviornment (Elastic or ArcSight etc.)Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
