Job Description

Allstates Consulting Services is looking for Fire Alarm Technicians in the Cincinnati, OH area. You must be okay with night work and be able to travel 2-3 weeks at a time is the normal unless otherwise specified. Knowledge of installing commercial fire alarm panels and devices along with good troubleshooting skills is a must. License required for all locations if applicable. NICET Certifications are a huge plus.Pay is $30.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience"‹"‹"‹"‹"‹"‹"‹You will have to take a drug test and have a background check completed prior to starting to work and you must have a valid drivers licenseRequirements:Field installation experience in security environments: Fire Alarm Access ControlNICET certification (Preferred)Currentvalid state required Physical Security license andor Life Safety license in the applicable technology.Knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72Available to travel, a few weeks at a time.Knows how to trouble shoot switches, WiFi, and routers.Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and able to work at heights.Experience reading blueprints and site maps.Experience in burglar alarms, access control, and CCTV is a plus.Assist with pre-installation opportunities by designing and planning technical solutions.Perform new installs and provide technical escalation support both on-site at customer locations as well as remotely via the phone and specialized tools.Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.Has basic PPE, and reliable transportation during the training period prior to issuing a company vehicleComputerlaptopsmartphone proficiency.Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.Proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn internal systems.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.Responsibilities:Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control LANWAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit bending plete all wiring, connectionsterminations, and equipment installations ensuring that Access Control are complete with total customer satisfaction and contractual stall, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels for fire alarm systems with the guidance of building plans and electrical layouts.Mount sensors at appropriate locations, performing all necessary tasks, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or plete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that fire alarm systems are in compliance with electrical and fire codes.Tests to ensure all newly installed fire alarm systems and component devices are operational.Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.Assist and collaborate with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site work schedules and timely delivery of equipment.Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state, or federal codes and legal andor insurance requirements.(employee contribution):Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
