Job Title: Director of Finance  Responsibility Level: Director   Report Line: CEO  Location: Conroe, TX  Overview:  National Wire, a family-owned welded wire manufacturing business since 1995, proudly stands as one of the largest in the southern United States. We are dedicated to surpassing customer expectations in both quality and service.  Currently, we are actively seeking a detail-oriented Director of Finance to join our team. This pivotal role will focus on establishing the strategic financial direction of the company. By developing robust processes to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), the Director of Finance will play a crucial role in advising executive leadership on making sound financial decisions. We expect the individual in this position to be a proactive leader, capable of developing and managing the overall financial services of the company, including finance, budgets, and analysis, to support the strategic direction of the company.  Given our manufacturing environment, it is essential for our next Director of Finance to gain insight into the daily processes in the plant, understand operations, and familiarize themselves with our products. If you're ready to be part of a company that values quality, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to join our team.  Responsibilities:  Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Financial Services Department. Contribute as a member of the Executive Management Team, providing long- and short-range goal setting and strategic direction for the organization. Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as monitoring internal controls. Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives. Work with executive leadership to help develop budgets, and to provide access to project finance information. Maximize return, and limit risk on cash by managing cash flow, reviewing investments. Final review of budgets developed by financial team. Oversee the completion of the final review and analysis of the financial statementsmonthly reports prepared for management staff. Prepare special reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing financial data, information, and trends. Maintain department strength by managing and retaining employees. Maintain results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining members of the financial services department, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential. Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to CEO. Support the financial planning and analysis efforts. Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits. Prepare financial statements and reports. Ensure legal compliance with all financial functions.  Manage relationships with banks.  Requirements:  10+ years leading finance andor accounting departments. 10+ years in supervisory roles and team management.  MBA or bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred. Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team. Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the corporate mission. Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems. Strong finance-based analytical skills. CPA preferred but not required. Bilingual English-Spanish.
