ZARA will put you into the heart of the action and the heart of its growth.PAYROLL MANAGERBased in our NYC Corporate Office (not remote)Overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll activities.KEY RESPONSABILITIESManage and oversee the entire bi-weekly payroll process, including processing employee time records, calculating wages and deductions, and ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and seamless integration of payroll with other systems.Prepare and review payroll reports, including payroll summaries, tax filings, and year-end reports.Resolve Payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.Experience in managing Paid Time Off (PTO) accruals for vacation and sick leave, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with company policies and regulations.Drive continuous improvement throughout the payroll department that reduces process waste, increases productivity and improves service levels to the department over the year.Lead and mentor payroll team members, providing guidance and support as needed.Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in payroll management.PERSONAL PROFILE5 years of experience managing a team and a high-volume multi-state payroll department.Proficiency in payroll software and systems, such as ADP, or similar platforms.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferredStrong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading and developing a team.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Retail experience is highly desirable.Annual compensation range: $120,000 - $137,000 + discretionary bonus* Zara, in good faith, believes that this posted rate of compensation is the accurate range for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
