On Point Events is a Luxury Sports Travel and Experience company. Our Operations Support - Event Delivery Specialist will be responsible for executing and managing all operational activities involved with delivering a successful event and ensuring a seamless experience for our clients leading up to, during and post event.ALL APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ASSESSMENT: copy and paste the link into your browser to access the assessment.Any candidate who has not taken the assessment will not be considered for the position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Source hotel accommodations, event transportation providers, hospitality venues, restaurant reservations, on-site support staffresources and event specific VIP accessexperiences.Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors.Manage relationships with vendors and clients.Develop customized travel itineraries for each client.Research and identify unique event products and services offerings, determine successful ways to offer them and how to price them competitively.Provide marketing and sales proposal support to our Sales Team.Coordinate and ensure successful pre, on-site and post event delivery (logistics, staffing, execution, customer follow up, etc.).Manage Trip Directors and support staff at events as well as office interns and Operational Support staff as necessary.Document, update and continuously improve the Event Delivery Methodology.Oversee the Inventory Management module in our CRM (package development, product development, pricing, inventory management and fulfillment).Other duties may be assigned.Able and willing to travel to all events as necessary both domestically and internationally for extensive periods of time (1-2 months for certain events). Depending on the event, the position may require working on weekends and national holidays. Must have a valid passport and be able to commit to being in Paris for two full months (July and August) for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Required SkillsExperience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) a from four-year college or university; and at least 5 years of related experience and proven client facing skills are required.Prior experience in Event Production and Management in a leadership role or TripTravel Director or Lead Planner for an Incentive House, Destination Management Company, Wedding Planning or Tour Operator is preferred.Strong communication and copy writing ability; marketing materials, emails and website.Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing and manage time effectively.Manage and prioritize competing demands; Change approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.Ability to effectively solve conflict through active listening without blaming or interrupting and in an empathetic manner.Thrives in high-paced environments with a lot of moving parts and changing variables.Understands business implications of decisions and displays orientation to profitability.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Self-confident and able to take control of a situation and determine actions and direct others to accomplish tasks as mit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.Position requires supervisory responsibilities including but not limited to trip directors and support staff at events as well as office interns and Operational Support staff as necessary.Highly organized and VERY detail oriented - This is a MUST!High Energy & Positive Attitude (Takes Responsibility for actions; No drama; No excuses; Can Do- Will Do Attitude).Team player - willing to jump in and help wherever needed.Strong technical skills: MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Outlook, MS-Word.
