Job Description

Our client is seeking a Leasing Agent to join their team! The Leasing Representative is responsible for providing support services to the leasing department. The Leasing Representative reports directly to the Leasing Manager for their property or portfolio of properties and is responsive to the Director of Leasing, Executive Director of Leasing, and other department heads. This position is located onsite based out of the New York office. This is a contract position.Pay rate: $28 - $30 per hour Responsibilities:Greet and register prospects, determine needs and preferences, professionally present community and apartmentsAssist lease applicants throughout application and approval processCoordinate move-in dates with building managementPrice apartments according to marketHandle, track and follow up on all email and phone inquiriesProcess applications and prepare leases for signingTracking web page functions including photo and floor plan display, unitdescriptions and property descriptionsConduct outreach and follow-up with current residents with leases that expire in the next 90-120 days to assist in their decision on whether to renew their lease.Manage calendar of appointmentsEnsure proper lease file organization and preparing daily and weekly reportsEnsure that the office and market-ready vacant apartments are in showing conditionEnsure that the office is properly stocked and supported with supplies, brochures, leases, equipment and forms as neededConduct market surveys, comprehensive analysis and community research and outreachEnter all traffic, telephone calls and other daily activity into lead management systemSpecial reports and projects as assigned Required Qualifications:Willing to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)Solution-oriented attitudeMinimum one year of multi-family leasing experienceAbility to multi-task and prioritize work loadsStrong attention to detail and well organized in a fast-paced environmentUpdated understanding of rent stabilization rules and regulationsProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent customer service and follow-upTrained in Fair Housing regulationsArticulate in written and verbal communicationFlexible schedule; weekends required.Solid and consistent work history with excellent referencesTeam oriented, self-motivated and positiveExperience in hospitality andor mixed-income buildings, a major plus If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
