JOB SUMMARY The Vice President of Operations & Logistics ("VP Ops") is a results-oriented senior manager with exceptional leadership skills, business acumen, and process optimization experience. VP Ops manages LAGOS's omni-channel customer service and distribution; product repair, service and personalization; RTV programs for wholesale customers and reverse logistics for ecommerce customers; receiving and warehouse operations; and inbound and outbound logistics for the LAGOS global organization. VP Ops will execute according to the company's strategy and targets, leveraging technology and people development to yield operational efficiency, cost-savings, and outstanding customer service. VP Ops will demonstrate leadership by aligning LAGOS's cross-functional and global business partners toward their long-term goals and objectives by exceeding the expectations of internal stakeholders and LAGOS customers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OMNI-CHANNEL CUSTOMER SERVICE (WHOLESALE, , AND RETAIL STORES): Leads the omni-channel customer care teams supporting wholesale, e-commerce and retail customers;Develops and manages standardized processes to ensure consistent and superior service;JEWELRY REPAIR, SERVICE, AND PERSONALIZATION: Manages and expands the company's capacity for repair, service and personalization services, improving the turnaround time for customer repairs and setting an industry leading benchmark for service in the jewelry industry.WHOLESALE, E-COMMERCE AND RETAIL CUSTOMER DISTRIBUTION: Develops and deploys processes to increase the efficiency, output, and accuracy of our fulfillment operations for wholesale, , and retail stores.IMPORT AND EXPORT TRADE LOGISTICS AND COMPLIANCE:Coordinates with Procurement, Buying and Third Party Compliance Consultants to manage the import, export, and transport of all LAGOS products, components, visual merchandising, and packaging to ensure on-time delivery, cost-savings, and compliance.Ensures that the company complies with all United States Customs requirements for classification, document management, and item classification for its imports and exports.REVERSE LOGISTICS & RTV PROGRAMS: Partners with key stakeholders to design and deploy solutions for reverse logistics;Partners with our affiliated company in Thailand to process wholesale returns and ensure that the condition of returned product is in accordance with our terms and conditions;RETAIL STORE OPERATIONS: Develops, manages and deploys processes for LAGOS-owned retail stores. WAREHOUSE OPERATIONSManages the LAGOS warehouse, focusing on efficiency, productivity and security.Oversees the processing and distribution of LAGOS visual merchandising items to retail storesBusiness Process Development:Creates and implements process improvements in NetSuite that will allow the company to achieve its business goals and objectives.JOBSKILL REQUIREMENTS15+ years of experience in Operations Management, Distribution, and Retail Store Operations;Demonstrated success with cross-functional team leadership, people development, process optimization, and working in a matrixed multi-national organization;Demonstrated success with leveraging technology to improve operations, particularly process and workflow development. Experience with wholesale, retail, and ecommerce customer service;Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred.Experience with jewelry manufacturing andor service preferred;Experience with Lean Manufacturing preferred;Experience with United States import and export compliance preferred; PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerBrief periods of standing, bending, reaching and light lifting required Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needsMust be able to follow all workplace safety protocols as requiredAbility to communicate promptly and accurately via computer, telephone, etc.May require local travel to PhiladelphiaNYC WORK ENVIRONMENT CORPORATE OFFICE This role is based in a Corporate Office setting, but will work with our Customer Care, Operations & Workshop departments, located in a Jewelry Manufacturing work environment with limited secure access and confined spaces at times.
