Job descriptionODYSSEY MANUFACTURING CO.JOB DESCRIPTIONSales Engineer and Project Manager (Revised 5624)General - Entry Level Position providing project management functions and selling chemicals, construction services and equipment to primarily industrial accounts most of which are water and wastewater treatment plants in the State of Florida. No cold calls as existing base of hundreds of customers. Reports to Company's General Manager. Candidate can be located anywhere in Florida but preferably in area bordered by Tampa, Gainesville, Palm Coast, and Palm Bay. Base Salary, Profit Sharing, Discretionary Bonus and Commission. Good benefits. Looking for someone with a B.S. in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering) who was socially active in college (i.e., President of their Fraternity or Sorority). College Grades are not important. Dimensions · Self-starter (Needs to work with little oversight)· Analytical (To identify best practices to promote company sales and to solve customer's problems)· Initiative (Applies skills with minimal supervision as needed to enhance company sales)· Interpersonal skills (Must be able to effectively communicate with existing and potential customers)· Team player (Individual must apply personal skills as to promote a team environment within the organization)· Flexible (Able to multi-task and work promote different areas of company's business) · Mechanical Aptitude (To facilitate understanding customer's operations)· General Chemistry Knowledge (General understanding of products being sold)· Computer literate (Use of Word and Excel for daily reports, customer tracking and proposals) Qualifications · Must have Engineering degree or equivalent· Must have valid State of Florida driver's license Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining existing customer accounts, managing projects, developing new business, and developing and implementing sales strategy. Specifics include: · Market company's products and services to existing and potential customers· Attend Tradeshows · Provide Proposals to Customers · Provide Project Management after the sale as required· Provide Project Management functions for company's chemical plants· Support Company's chemical system construction service business unit· Develop and Implement Sales Strategy for Company· Maintain all required customer documentation and records· Perform all other duties as assigned. Location - Candidate may locate anywhere in Florida including company headquarters in Tampa. Sales Territory is the State of Florida focusing primarily on the area north of I-4. Candidate would expect one night per week of overnight travel. Compensation - Base Salary, Profit Sharing, Discretionary Bonus and Commission. Company car. Company has excellent benefits.
