The Opportunity Schlam Americas is a leading provider of diversified mining and engineering services to Tier-1 mining customers. As part of our global growth, Schlam Americas have a newly created position for a Office Manager to join their team.Reporting to the President - Schlam Americas, this position is to ensure smooth and efficient office administration, management of accurate end to end accounts processing and bookkeeping, assisting with growth project management and overseeing governance. The Office Manager will work closely with the Schlam Americas leadership team and will be facilitating effective communication between different departments and stakeholders.The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated and dynamic individual with relevant office management experience and working with cross functional teams. You will enjoy working independently but with the full support of Senior Management and the wider Schlam business.This position is offered as full-time, permanent based in Tucson, Arizona.Key Responsibilities Work with cross functional teams within US and Australia to manage all employee related payroll and benefit programs with the PEO.Work closely with the finance team in Perth, Western Australia to manage and oversee company policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives.Maintain accurate financial records.Directly engage in and oversee the process of creating and handling invoices and payments to vendors and customers.Actively oversee and handle all facets of bookkeeping, encompassing revenue, expense, and various other transactions.Manage overall office operations in Tucson including but not limited to liaison with building management, office supplies and all other aspects of office administration and management.Implement and maintain efficient administrative processes to optimize productivity.Address and resolve administrative issues or concerns raised by employees or stakeholders.Work closely with the President Schlam - Americas to lead and manage critical growth projects ensuring successful execution and alignment with company's strategic objectives.Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and assist with implementing mitigation strategies.To be successful in this role you will possessCollege degree in a relevant field.Ability to adapt and pivot with a fast-growing and dynamic family-owned company.Minimum three years' work experience in office management, bookkeeping and project management.Minimum two years' experience in bookkeeping for a small business.Project management experience (prior experience with ASANA is desirable).End-to-end processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.Preparation of trial balance, profit and loss statements and balance sheets and reconciliation.Cashflow reporting and short-term forecasts.Experience in liaising with Accountants (internal and external).General administrative duties including office purchasing and expense management.Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point with accounting software, QuickBooks andor Xero.Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.About SchlamSchlam commenced in 1996 as a problem-solving engineering business.
