Sherman Atlas Sylvester & Stamelman is seeking an experienced 2nd - 5th year litigation associate to join our commercial litigation practice group. Our firm's litigation group represents banking and financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, closely-held businesses and individuals in complex litigation in state and federal courts. The successful candidate will have the following credentials: · Admitted in New Jersey and New York· 2-5 years of litigation experience· Experience drafting pleadings, motions and other papers in litigations and arbitrations· Experience taking and defending depositions· Experience appearing in court and other forums for motions andor trials· Ability to manage a workload of multiple clients and competing deadlines· Commitment to exceeding client needsexpectations in an effective manner· Experience communicating orally and in writing with clients, experts,witnesses, opposing counsel and judges· Excellent analytical ability and writing skills The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other considerations.
