Scion Nonprofit Staffing, a full-service national staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct a search for an Advocacy Manager for immediate hire with a reputable nonprofit devoted to advocacy and social reform to support women's & children's rights. This is a Full Time, Direct Hire, local remote opportunity in the Newark, NJ area.***You must reside within a maximum distance of 1.5 hours from the office in the Newark, NJ area for occasional commuting into the office once or twice a month.***As the Advocacy Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to advance legislative and policy initiatives, mobilize community support, and drive systemic change.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the organization's mission and policy priorities.Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support advocacy goals.Monitor legislative and policy developments related to the organization's mission at the local, state, and national levels.Draft and review policy documents, reports, testimony, and other advocacy materials for federal and state legislation.Track and evaluate advocacy activities, outcomes, and impact to inform strategic planning and decision-making.QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of experience in advocacy, public policy, or government relations, with a focus on gender equality, human rights, or social justice issues.Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Strong understanding of legislative and policy processes, advocacy tactics, and coalition-building strategies.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful advocacy campaigns and initiatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and compelling PENSATION AND BENEFITS:This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a passionate and thriving team!
