Senior ElectricianShift: 7am-4pm M-FJob Descriptionminimal to no supervision, Designs, Selects Components, Installs and maintains production instrumentation, electrical wiring, production control equipment, and related auxiliary systems.production equipment and systems to determine operational status and troubleshoot system malfunctions.support to Engineering and Operations to help design, build, test and troubleshoot production equipment and manufacturing systems.to repair and modify production equipment at the component level.and order spare parts, for existing equipment, and systems as needed.at analyzing and troubleshooting complex electrical and control systems such as ATS, PLC's, Communication Networks, Motor Starters, VFD's and various electromechanical systems.Duties and Responsibilities:repair, maintain, and modify existing and new equipment, including electronic, vacuum, mechanical, and chemical apparatus.design, select, build, and program control equipment for specific project requirements or process improvements either independently or in collaboration with Engineering or third-party contractors.of the mechanical and electrical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, heaters, and other plumbing componentsknowledge in consensus codes such as NEC500, NFPA70 and proficient at applying this to evaluate current systems or proposed new designs.andor calibrate components, production equipment, and control systems to improve overall efficiency and record all changes and their effect. Proficient with calibration tools such as process multimeters, calibrated gages and vendor supplied calibration software.to use electrical schematic drawings for PLC's and power distribution for troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning. Experience with generating redline or "as built" modifications for use by engineering or OEM to update designs.prototypes for project requirements andor process improvements.factory wiring in both classified (C1 D2) and general duty areas.set up standard test apparatus to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.an inventory of parts and supplies; orders materials as needed.operate machine tools to fabricate parts such as threading machines, drills, conduit benders.current knowledge relevant to state-of-art technology, equipment, andor systems.Engineering meetings for updates, priority list and future equipment planninginstillations.proper care, safety and maintenance of equipment and supplies.with all BRI environmental and safety policies and procedures. Experience and familiarity with Lock Out Tagout procedures as well as Hot Workmiscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.with supervision, reliability engineer to maintain proper critical spare parts for electrical distribution and PLC systems.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:to record andor log equipment operational status.to identify and resolve system malfunctions and operational problems.to utilize, test, maintain and modify a range of engineering equipment and apparatus.to build and evaluate engineering andor scientific systems and components.working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70 codes for general facility wiring.ability to install electrical conduit and proper wire sizing.ability to install general factory components such as plugs, switches, lights etc.of hazardous location requirements is a plus.of HVAC systems maintenance and repair.of supplies, equipment, andor services ordering and inventory control.of current technological developmentstrends in area of expertise.to read and follow technical instructions and manuals. Ability to write reports containing technical information.to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.Experience and Education:School Diploma or GED; at least 10 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.E2 electrical license is not required but is strongly desirable.directly related higher degree from an accredited institution or technical certification in Instrumentation andor Controls Systems may be substituted for experience.
