Job Description

Title: HR GeneralistClient: Our client is a privately owned, thirty-year-old, distributor. Located in the Detroit area. Summary:Reporting to HR Manager, responsible for broad range of Recruiting and HR administrative and employee relations duties.Responsibilities: Primary responsibility for the entire recruitment process, including:Sourcing candidates through active recruiting on LinkedIn and other recruiting sitesPosting all open positions through PayChex, university websites, and veteran websitesCorrespondence with applicants, and timely disposition Resume review and initial phone screensSetting up candidates for interviews, coordinating travel arrangements if necessary for out-of-town candidatesAttending career fairs with HR Manager (may require occasional travel)Creation of offer lettersComplete the pre-start date onboarding process for new employees, including administering employment applications, processing background investigations and drug screenings, assembling new hire orientation booklets to include benefits and payroll documentation and the setting up of new employee files.Assist HR Manager in the administration of the performance review processAssist HR manager with training initiatives, including:Researching appropriate training opportunities and provide enrollment assistance including travel arrangementsEnsure new hire training matrix are tracked until completion for ISO compliance.Assist with the set-up of new commercial team members Member of the PPC (Party Planning Committee) and assist the HR Manager with coordination of events.Train to become a back-up for bi-weekly input of company-wide payroll, Health Equity payments, 401k bi-weekly contributions, and Lincoln Financial payments.Assist HR Manager with FMLA paperwork, compliance, and time-off tracking.Requirements: Degree in Business, HR or other related fields5+years RecruitingHR experiencein Detroit area - able to commute to workin Microsoft Office softwarecommunication, problem solving, people skillsfocused, team and customer orientedto travel occasionally for job fairsCompensation: The company provides a competitive base salary, bonus program, full benefits, and 401k. The position has an office-based work environment with an option of up to 15 work-from-home days per year.
