Job Description

Responsibilities:You are a subject matter expert on the design and documentation of large lab projects - which may include Research and Development, Manufacturing, Clinical Labs, Animal Research or other Technical Lab typesConduct and lead weekly in-person design updates to Senior Executives with all existing portfolio spacesLead and drive future and existing design needs for entire real estate portfolioUtilizing exceptional in house and client relationship skills and a portfolio of innovative design solutions with an emphasis on design detailsWork directly with in-house colleagues, clients, scientists, researchers and related end-users to develop laboratory design and planning strategies at all levels of detail, including new construction and renovationsQualifications:As a Senior Laboratory Space Planner, you will have experience with pre-design, programming, laboratory planning (preferably biotechnology labs), and knowledge of specialty architectural environments including: lab, cGMP, R&D, and flex Real Estate Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture with 6+ years of related experienceProficient in CAD & AutoCADKnowledge of Laboratory Programming delivery and how design impacts those systems -including space, operational, and equipment programming, as well as MEP systems and caseworkSubstantial experience working directly Senior Management representatives, scientists, laboratory managers, technicians, facilities and project managers, and other project stakeholders in determining and documenting programmatic requirementsDemonstrable working technical knowledge and skill set to guide discussions for laboratory roomspace development in conjunction with equipment and other technical attributesAbility to work with end users to develop process flows, planning process, and critical adjacencies of research and laboratory rooms for optimum efficiency and flexibilityLeadership experience, including managing client expectations, multi-disciplinary teams, and meeting scopeschedulebudgetSkilled at developing and motivating teams of people both internally and externally, along with a desire to mentor team membersBenefits:Our comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time offOur annual base salary range has been established based on local marketsWe also offer a 401k and discretionary annual bonus opportunities
