Womens Designer, DKNY SwimwearGIII Apparel Group is currently seeking a Designer to join its DKNY Womens swimwear design team based in New York City!ResponsibilitiesReporting into and supporting Senior DesignerResearching design concepts Developing new ideas for silhouette, color, concept boards, and trimsSource fabric for each season based on market trends by working with Fabric TeamCommunicate with all cross functional teams (Sales, Production, Fabric, Tech)Approvingcommenting on color lab dips strike offs, for sample yardage and bulkCreating presentation boards line boards for line meetingsGenerate tech-packs with clear silhouette, garment construction, and trim information to overseas factoriesDesigning and selecting prints for each seasonWork closely with Sales team to update line sheets and special request garmentsManage and maintain all Tracking chartsKeeping all charts binders organized by seasonQualifications5+ years of design experience in Womens SwimwearLingerieMust be able to handle multiple projects and deadlinesMust have PLMMust be proficient on Illustrator, Photoshop, ExcelMust have excellent technical skillsMust be well versed at caddingMust be able to create line sheetsMust be comfortable with communication with overseas factories.Must be able to create tech packs from beginning to endKnowledge of the industry is neededMust be action oriented and able to make decisions, positive "CAN DO" attitude is keyThe pay range for this position is: $75K per year - $90 per year.Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.About G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. | excels at bringing excitement and confidence to customers through the fashion we create.
