Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatmentPosition Summary: The Foster Care Licensing Specialist is responsible for managing the treatment of all assigned foster care clients from point of admission through discharge from the Agency. As the Foster Care Licensing Specialist, you will ensure that clients are assigned to the clinically appropriate pathway at point of admission. Further, you will participate in clinical rounds to gather information on client progress, providing information to the clinical treatment team.Responsibilities Include:Supports foster/adoption applicants and families throughout the foster/adoption process including orientation, training assessments and evaluations.Interviews and assesses foster and/or adoptive applicants.Conducts home studies for prospective foster/adoptive parents including annual assessments and re-certification of foster homes.Processes transfers of foster/adoptive parents. Provides case management and CPST for foster children. Creates and maintains foster/adoptive home records according to Ohio laws and regulations.Attends staff meetings, trainings and conferences as required.Provides support to families, utilizing skills in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions and substance abuse therapy.Supervises assigned foster families and provides supervision support, education, and guidance.Contributes to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.Qualifications:At minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling and a valid Ohio LSW/LPC license.A valid driver license, personal transportation, and auto insurance.Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.Ability to prioritize and perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.Excellent documentation is critical to this position.Why Work for Us:We value our employees and their commitment to our mission and offer competitive total rewards (benefits and compensation) options to our valued employees and their families, including domestic partners.
