Optomi, in an exclusive partnership with a leading Automotive Connected Services company, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their team. Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.This is a hybrid position in Plano office, expectation is for 1-2 days in the office, 3-4 days work from home (remote). ROLE SUMMARYThe Senior Engineer role plans, designs, develops and tests high-quality, innovative and fully performing software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Contribute to full software development life cycleWrite maintainable, extensible, tested code, while complying with coding standardsProduce specifications, documentation, and diagrams to optimize operationsContinuously Integrate and deliver software components into a fully functional software systemCoordinate and or supportTroubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systemsCAREER LEVEL SUMMARYProficiency: Fully mastered in immediate function/domain and has developed competent skills in complimentary functions or domains. Raises concerns in a constructive manner.QUALIFICATIONSExperience utilizing Terraform for IaC infrastructure automationStrong backend experience deploying monolithic and microservice based production applications utilizing automated pipelines.AWS experience (specifically in services standard serverless and microservices based deployments) supporting L3+ production applications.Experience building and managing secure OCI containers.Experience deploying and maintaining Kubernetes based services (deployments, service, ingress, service mesh, integration with underlying AWS services.Experience building re-distributable Kubernetes packages utilizing Helm or Kustomize.Experience with automated build, test, deployment and day2 operational requirements.Ability to lead technical conversations and covey ideas to a less technical audience or audience from a different disciplineDesire to collaborate across teams and organizational boundariesNice to HaveExperience in building streaming and batch data pipelines using Big Data technologies (Spark, Flink, Kinesis, Kafka, etc) on large scale unstructured data setsExperience coding with either Python or JavaExperience defining and implementing platform capabilities for broad consumption
