Whether you are an intern, a junior engineer or someone who's been around the block, one thing is for certain - you will leave your mark.Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.This position requires on-site presence in Santa Clara, CA.Job DescriptionAs an Arista Power SystemEngineer, you will get an opportunity to work with some of the bestengineeringand technical leaders in the industry to drive the design and implementation of multi-KW AC/DC and DC/DC chassis power systems.Responsibilities:As a part of the project team, define, and develop, source, and qualify power supplies to meet product & market requirementsHands-on experience with power electronics - will need to spend time in lab characterizing the new suppliesFamiliarity with dual grid and redundant AC or DC system designGood understanding of analog/power circuit design and qualificationAbility to write clear and effective technical reports, present and communicate technical issues to a broad range of audiences including other power teams, softwareengineers, or non-technical people.Monitor the performance of power supply vendors during developmentAbility to work with vendorsengineeringteam abroad and lead the project from concept to production.Participate in next generation system definition, innovate and propose new ideas to advance the existing designs.Collaborate with the mechanical and compliance teams to insure that the power distribution systems in Arista's products meet all required national and international regulatory standards. Consult with the system and diagnosticengineerson best practices for testing for compliance.Some international travel is required.QualificationsBS or MS ElectricalEngineering with minimum 5 years' experienceExperience with regulatory processes related to designing and certifying power supplies for commercial electronicsExcellent knowledge of AC-DC & DC-DC design issues, system level power distribution, and industry best practicesExperience sourcing power supplies ranging in size from 100 Watts to 3000 Watts with both AC and DC input powerUnderstanding of the design issues of large modular systems with total power such as 30 kW.Excellent communicator of requirements, critical path, and schedules.Familiarity with new custom product developmentAdditional InformationThe new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $120,000 to $180,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and US location.
