Position Title: Engagement Manager - Energy & Power Location: Schenectady, NY / Greenville, SC Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.The Engagement Manager would be responsible for providing engineering solutions in the Energy and Power domain to engage with customer and understand the business eco-system and nature of business and propose solutions, also closely work with leadership to drive a program of innovation and creating real business value.Key Responsibilities: Grow the existing business with the Energy and Power customerPossess strong leadership qualities with a visionary eye on emerging supply chain and digital technologies and able to articulate the transformative impact of technologies on business, specifically to Engineering operations and functions.Excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills at all levels of the organization as well as with external partnersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve them; creates actionable strategies and operational plansDemonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong relationship management required in highly distributed and matrix organizationsInterface with customers and help them prioritize and deliver on their business needsProven track record of helping fortune 500 businesses build their Digital vision and addressing their customer experience issues.Skills and Qualifications: Deep domain knowledge of the Energy and Power OEM industry, with knowledge of products & lifecycle, engineering & manufacturing processes, major engineering services suppliers, external drivers, and funding.Desired knowledge and experience in either Power - Gas turbines / Engineering and Wind / Nuclear EnergyBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with customer senior and mid-level technical managers.Engineering knowledge and complete product life-cycle knowledge including, o Product development for Client business units and productsEngineering processes including design, manufacturing, analysis, aftermarket, quality, and field product support (both software & hardware)Relevant emerging technologies that are impacting the energy landscape and add value to overcome the customers' business challengesBusiness priorities and internal funding process including timing, influencers, and approvalsOutsourcing landscape and key strategiesStrong commercial skills and services sales experience including negotiating MSAs, pricing, costing, terms and conditions, and proposal developmentExperience working with and leading a global remote team/offshore delivery model environmentExcellent interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of customer organizationResults-driven, high energy, self-motivated, persistent, and able to work independentlyDecisive, analytical, strategic thinker.Education:Bachelor's Degree - Engineering. Master's degree/MBA - preferred
