What You'll Do:You will serve as a major contributor in Architecture design and development of scalable resilient hybrid Cloud-based solutions supporting critical financial risk management activities; mentor and collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to drive the strategy of transforming the enterprise into a data-driven organization; lead through innovative strategic thinking in building data solutions.ResponsibilitiesActively participate and lead requirement analysis and reviews to identify missing or incomplete requirementsMust always look for assumptions made in the models to then validate those model assumptionsParticipate in design of highly performing, scalable, secure, reliable and cost optimized solutionsPrimarily responsibility is application design and development of streaming application for business requirements in agreed architecture framework and Agile environmentThoroughly analyze requirements; develop, tests, and documents software quality to ensure proper implementationFollow agreed upon SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet both explicit, and implicit, quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing reporting is properly representedPerform thorough code-reviews based on high engineering standardsWrite unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworksPerform application and project risk analysis and recommends quality improvementsAssist Production Support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as requiredCommunicate in a clear and concise manner all time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and managementAssist with departmental and new employee trainingExperience integrating modelling libraries required. Risk analytics technology implementations experience a plusA major influencer & strategic thinker, this person should also mentor developers and collaborate across multiple cross functional team to achieve the desired outcome.Qualifications & Experience - REQUIREDWork w/high speed distributed computing frameworks FLINK, Apache Spark, Kafka Streams..Experience with distributed message brokers Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Amazon KinesisExperience with cloud technologies and migrations. Experience preferred with AWS foundational services like VPCs, Security groups, EC2, RDS, S3 ACLs, KMS, AWS CLI and IAM etcExperience developing and delivering technical solutions using public cloud service providers like Amazon, Google, etc - Experience following Git workflows is neededExperience writing unit and integration tests with testing frameworks like Junit, CitrusExperience working with various types of databases like Relational, NoSQL, Object-based, GraphA working knowledge of DevOps tools. Eg Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm and CI/CD pipelineFamiliarity with monitoring related tools and frameworks.
