This position will report into the Director of Operations.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for purchasing of raw material, components, MRO, outside service etc. for one or more manufacturing facilitiesCoordinate with plant personnel to understand production schedules, requirements for material, and material issues; expedite to meet production needs as necessaryIdentify, evaluate, and approve suppliers; coordinate supplier visit and auditsNegotiation contract terms which meet the needs of the company; manage cost, delivery, payment terms etc. within approval authorityDevelop and utilize internal controls and processes to manage the flow of purchasesAnalyze market and purchasing trendsImplement continuous improvement projects, such as Kanban systems, to improve efficiency of material movement and cost effectiveness of inventory on siteDevelopment and implementation of a supplier scorecard process to monitor supplier performance on Quality, Delivery, and CostPosition RequirementsBachelor's degree in related field5-7 years of related experience, including supervisionPrevious experience in Steel Industry, preferredVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgencyAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely mannerPrevious experience with MIS software, preferredIncentivesAnnual bonus appliedFull benefits package: Medical -Vision-Dental-Life-Disability-HSA-FSA401(k) Match: 50% on the first 6% of contributionsTuition Reimbursement Offered Diversity & Inclusion StatementUPG Enterprises LLC and its Affiliates is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
