Overview JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Emergency Department director, manager, charge nurse, this position encompasses the provision of emergency patient care through implementation of the nursing process, delegation to and supervision of unlicensed staff, and coordinating interdisciplinary care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Additionally the position incorporates providing direct patient supportive care and departmental readiness duties (ED Tech), as well as secretarial support including facilitating and coordinating the progression of care from admission to discharge from the emergency department. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: See Licenses and Certifications. Experience: None Required. Prefer one year recent Emergency Department, urgent care, or other acute care experience. Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing, delegating patient care, and completing work assignments as well as other duties as assigned. Demonstrate knowledge of common disease processes, treatment modalities and interventions. Above average computer skills. License/Certifications: Current active California Licensed Vocational Nurse nursing license. IV Certification required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required. ACLS, PALS or ENPC Certification preferred. Current MAB or CPI required within 3 months of hire or upon completion of orientation period. Equipment: Computer, Monitoring Equipment, Smart IV Pump, Rapid Infuser, Blood Warmer. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job. PAY RANGE $25.20 - $37.80 The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate's relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate's individual experience.
